Backpacking Vietnam

Family trip to Vietnam 5 weeks backpacking and what a great time we had.  Definite highlights would be Sapa in the far north, cu chi tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An in the south.

Backpacking Thailand (one of many times)

We took a family trip, Miss B’s first international trip at 1 year of age to Thailand.  Just a two week, staying in a hotel and chilling out.

Miss B handled the air travel well and we took our macpac child carrier which not only helped keep hands from touching her – kept her in one place!

Backpacking Greece, Paris, Egypt

Pyramids of giza
Egypt

In 2006 Brett and Leanne went to Greece for a belated honeymoon, while Nikita visited with family in France for two weeks, we then flew in collected Nikita and all went to explore Egypt!  What an amazing experience.  Treasured memories of exploring the Giza Pyramids, taking a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Queens peering down at the green stretch of desert that borders each side of the Nile!!

Taking a Felucca down the river Nile for three days sleeping under the stars and discovering (after a swim in the Nile and verifying there was not crocodiles) there are in fact Aligators in parts of the Nile!!  Eeekkk.

Obviously we are still here, so all good.

Backpacking South America & Trekking the Machu Pichhu Trail

In 2005 Brett and Leanne visited Peru, Bolivia and Chile on our 5 week backpacking trip.  During our time there we completed the amazing 3 day Inca Trail to visit Machu Pichhu.

What an Experience!! It may have been before digital cameras, but here is a scan of our group photo arriving at the end of our trail.
