Having owned our motorhome for over 7 years now, there is various things we have had to do to keep her in tip top shape and make life on the road more enjoyable.

Ways to improve your motorhome or caravan
Cutlery drawer insert for your motorhome or caravan
Cutlery drawer inserts are a great way to organise and improve storage in your kitchen drawers.
This was a bamboo (light) cutlery organiser from Kmart and is adjustable to the exact size of the drawer width.
There are many different drawer organisers available on the market and a great improvement to your caravan or motorhome.
Replacing a gas stove top in motorhome or caravan
We had had issues with the burners not being able to be increased, irrespective of the setting selected.
Now keep in mind, this issue can be a result of the regulator on the gas bottle so we had that inspected first and it was fine.
We were in South West, Western Australia. At the time of writing and used Ryan from Woodbury Plumbing who was fantastic and came to the motorhome.
The previous one we replaced was a Dometic. We bought the replacement one during black friday sales in November and saved 20%.
This is a great tip and worth waiting for to save money.
Adding a Vision mesh security door to motorhome or caravan
Most fulltime travellers on the road chase the sun as a general rule. There is obviously good reasons for this including, solar power works more effectively, BBQ’s on the beach or in the park and lots of outdoor adventures revolve around good weather.
But also, security is a major factor on the road and we ensure that we have adequate measures in place to protect our rig.
This is just one of them, it was not cheap, was done in February 2016 and cost $1,750.00. By Perth Caravan Repair Centre. I sleep better knowing we have it, especially in hot weather.
Spice rack installed back of kitchen cupboard door
Like a lot of other fulltime travellers, I love to cook and having some luxuries for cooking and baking on the road was important to me.
Brett installed this standard rack on timber supports running horizontal and had then set the drawers on their runners back a smidgen to allow for the depth of the rack inside the cupboard.
There was ample room behind the drawers and wasted space so this was easily achieved and easy access while cooking.
They say the way to a man’s heart is through his belly – he is more than happy to upgrade anything that is to do with his home cooked meals!!
