Have you been looking for the Opportunity for Long Term Living in Romania?
We have really enjoyed our time in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania. Of course it helped we were with one of our oldest friends and it was her childhood village, the main
attraction for why we visited.
The beautiful Carpathian Mountains, clean air and friendly locals, it is easy to understand why they have chosen to come back for an extended block of time.
It is like stepping back in time, with horse and carts, every home with a vegetable garden and that wonderful community feel.
So many wonderful areas to explore on day trips from this location.
As with a lot of worldschooling and homeschooling families, we are always on the look out for long term living opportunities. in other countries. By living or staying in the one area for an extended period, you are able to immerse yourself in the local community and learn the language a lot more easily.
Our friends have been to this village previously for a year with their daughter at the time, 12, attending a local highschool in the village. She did speak both English and Hungarian.
On this occasion we were not here long enough to consider schooling for Miss B, but are certainly giving consideration to coming back to this area for a longer time frame.
Accommodation
Our friends have been staying at Horizont Guest House and Bungalows, which offers both short stays and long 
term rental opportunities, at an affordable price. We have spent a great deal of time visiting our friends here during our stay. We had the opportunity to meet the lovely Manager, Anna, who speaks English and welcomes guests to the Guest House.
This is not a paid post or review, we love this town and have been shown the various accommodation offered by Horizont Guest House and Bungalows and knowing they are family friendly and offer this long term living opportunity, wanted to share it with you.
Facilities
Great for families with lots of outdoor play areas including a soccer field and trampoline. BBQ, and communal kitchen facilities make this a home away from home. The B
ungalows are self contained.
