Back at home base – Europe Roadtrip week 18
Having a ball with my bestie while preparing Betsy for storage in what is week 18 of our Europe Roadtrip 2018. Lots of drinks, lots of laughs, catching up on some work – isn’t unlimited wifi amazing!!
We faced yet another decision on the ever ongoing gas issue that is UK – Europe gas bottles and refills. We have decided that we will use what we have and suck it up. We also know where we can fill up a calor bottle near Venice – and its always a good idea to go to Venice
again! We are lucky (as discussed in our youtube video) that as we only use gas for cooking we last a lot longer than usual.
So what did we get up to this week. We will wrap the weekly blogs next week and we leave on 29 September. But it is important to see what we do to Betsy before storing her till we return next year.

September 11
Beautiful weather and great to get all washing and bedding cleaned and dried. This is the excitement of full time travel – these things are exciting!
There may or may not of been drinks, movies at home and up late chatting.
September 12 – 16
Sleeping in and confirming booking Betsy in for her MOT next week. Exploring local area 
we are staying and starting to empty the contents out of Betsy.
Along with filling the gas bottles, confirming grey tanks empty, toilet ect.
Helped Joylie with a spring clean and lots of memories due to being friends for so long it was a lot of fun!
There may or may not of been drinks, movies at home and up late chatting.
September 17
Brett got busy marking our 2017 and 2018 roadtrips on an actual map. We shared a basic 
video straight away on social media and what a response!! WOW! We are putting up a more detailed one on youtube. This is a great way for others to see where we are going and see if our paths can cross.
When you look at all those kilometres and the area we covered it is amazing reflecting on the countries and people we met. We can not wait to do it all again next year.
For a laugh Joylie gave Brett and I, a wine puzzle to solve. Fantastic twisted and crazy idea whoever came up with it but lots of frowns, huffing and celebrating when we solved it!
September 18
We were going to head to London today (sounds so cool doesn’t it!)’but weather was a bit shitty and decided to wait for another day or so. Few more things on the list to see there.
As you can see we are totally chilling out, arranging one last catch up with a worldschooler friend and enjoying sitting at a desk to do some work. Miss B is loving playing with the neighborhood kids which have all become quite good friends with our frequent visiting!

Having done a three and half month roadtrip in South Europe in 2017 and Northern Europe Roadtrip in 2018 we were pretty confident in what we would need’this time. Also, what worked and what we would not bother taking again.
