Bells Rapids Trail Walk

Bells RapidsThe girls and I went for a Walk/Hike at Bells Rapids Trail Walk at Brigadoon in Western Australia.  There was lots of parking, it would not be suitable for taking your caravan or motorhome unless you are prepared to walk at minimum of one to one and half kilometres extra and park in the first parking area you come to.

We had a ball.  I LOVE nature and really enjoy being in the outdoors and with my girls makes this a pretty good day before I even begin.

Suitability for kids

The trail is not really suitable for really young kids there are steep inclines and it is loose underfoot in sections.  But there is lots of rocks to climb on, rockpools to explore and other families doing just that not on the walk itself but where you park!

How long did it take

The walk took us about one and a half hours but we were stopping talking and really enjoying the nature side of the walk.

We were lucky enough to meet a beautiful blue tongue lizard who did not mind having his photo taken (I asked).

We had all the essentials, Water, Hat, Sunscreen and good footwear to enjoy the day. I would not recommend doing it without them.

So beautiful and such a great time in nature.  If you are in the Swan Valley area, I would recommend a morning walk.

Following our walk we stopped in at the Rose & Crown Hotel.  It is the third oldest pub in Australia!  Tried some of The Naked Apple, Cloudy Apple Cider from Perth Hills. Yum!

Happy exploring!
